Past one and half years have proved big stick is useless to China - Global Times

Responding to US President latest tweets on the US-China trade conflict, "Whenever it's time to negotiate, the US side comes up with the trick of piling pressure. Really not a good habit," said Hu Xijin, editor-in-chief of Chinese and English editions of the Global Times.

"Americans need to change their negotiating style, show more sincerity, not just wield stick. The past one and half years have proved big stick is useless to China."

Minutes ahead of Wall Street's opening bell, the S&P 500 Futures is down 0.5% on the day, revealing a sour market sentiment.
