Speculators pared net bearish positions in 10-year Treasury note for 2nd week

FXStreet (Mumbai) - As per the data released by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), speculators reduced their overall bearish positions in the 10-year Treasury note futures last week for a second straight week.

During the reporting time period - May 12th to May 19th – the non-commercial futures contracts of the 10-year treasury notes witnessed a weekly change of +46,606 net contracts to total a net position of -85,838 contracts. The weekly bullish positions rose by +44,377 contracts while the short positions edged lower by -2,229 contracts.

Meanwhile, during the reporting time period, the yield on the 10-Year treasury note edged lower from 2.28% to 2.27%.
