New Zealand: Building permits up 10% in Nov

FXStreet (Bali) - New Zealand's building permits s.a. (MoM) (Nov) has come at 10% vs 8.8% last. A positive input for the NZD.

Key facts

In November 2014, building consents were issued for:

2,420 new dwellings, including apartments

474 apartments, including 95 retirement village units

1,946 non-apartment dwellings.

The seasonally adjusted number of new dwellings consented increased 10 percent in November. Excluding apartments, this number was up 2.1 percent.

The unadjusted value of building work consented in November 2014 was $1.3 billion. This consisted of:

$867 million of residential work
$426 million of non-residential work.

The trend for the number of new dwellings, including apartments, has shown little change in recent months after generally increasing since the historic low in March 2011.



US NFP: Expecting another bumper report - ANZ
